7 Best Cars Available In Purple

There was excitement at the end of 2021 when photos of a swoon-worthy purple Nissan GT-R began doing the rounds. It wasn’t just the flashy color but the whole makeover, carbon fiber wings.

However, the car was merely somebody’s fever dream and did not exist. Nor is it legal to drive their Midnight Purple Skyline in the United States. But there are other gorgeous purple cars to enjoy.

Here are the 7 best cars available in purple.

1. Audi RS7

  • Color Name: Merlin Purple

Audi Merlin Purple is not for the shy and subtle, but it’s a far cry from eyewatering tacky. Instead, it’s a color that announces its arrival, oozing fun, sex appeal, and a delightful wicked edge.

You can see an example in this 2021 Audi RS7 Sportback. It looks like the Joker went sophisticated and designed the villain’s alternative to the Batmobile.

The Audi RS7 is a sports car for families that still appreciate power but need a little more space. Its twin-turbo V8 is quick and powerful, but the design ensures agility, and the weighted and communicative steering is a pleasure to have under your hands.

The car is a beast of confidence, but it will add depth to its allure once you package it in Merlin Purple.

Alternative Colors:

  • Seal Grey Metallic
  • Ultra Blue Metallic
  • Sebring Black Crystal Effect
  • Bright Green Pearl

2. BMW M340i xDrive

  • Color Name: Daytona Violet Metallic

BMW has a range of purple hues for the M340i X Drive, but the Daytona Violet Metallic has caught our eye. The color stands out from the crowd without making you wince.

Instead, the metallic hue takes on a liquid fluidity as it cuts through the sunlight on the open road. It’s an excellent alternative to black, giving the vehicle a debonair twist without feeling like it’s a shameful flirt.

The M240i X Drive isn’t a bad ride, either, regardless of its hue. It goes from 0-62 in 4.2 seconds, giving it a delightful, yet manageable, take-off.

It’s a comfortable ride, handles well, and provides the reliability expected from the brand. Also, the large dashboard display makes even a trip to the grocery store feel like a covert spy mission.

Alternative Colors:

  • Tanzanite Blue II Metallic
  • Melbourne Red Metallic
  • Dravit Grey Metallic
  • Black Sapphire Metallic

3. Dodge Challenger

  • Color Name: Plum Crazy

The Dodge Challenger and its cousin, the Charger, are the last of the true American muscle cars. But, alas, 2023 will be the final opportunity to get your hands on Dodge Challenger in the iconic Plum Crazy. The rerelease of the classic eye-catching shade is part of its send-off to the final fleet. It is undeniably an end of an era.

Plum Crazy was introduced in 1970 when psychedelic colors were all the rage. It was introduced with other bold hues, including Top Banana and Vitamin C.

2023 isn’t the first time Plum Crazy has been brought back to life. In 2007 it was available for the Charger, and the Challenger went purple in 2010. Then it happened again in 2016.

We can’t say if Dodge is done with Plum Crazy. It is possible that they’ll haul it out to add excitement to the electric vehicle range. But for now, if you want it on a gas guzzler, you’ll have to haul your wallet out and hit that buy button quickly, as there is a limited rollout.

Alternative Colors:

  • Sublime Green
  • Destroyer Grey
  • B5 Blue
  • Go Mangos

4. Jaguar F-PACE SVR Edition 1988

  • Color Name: Midnight Amethyst

In 2022, Jaguar announced it was building 394 F-Pace SVR Edition 1998 in the unique Midnight Amethyst, Champagne Gold 22″ forged alloy wheels, and Sunset Gold accents.

The Sunset Gold Satin detailing continues on the inside, complimenting the interior’s carbon fiber finishes and semi-aniline ebony leather upholstery.

The Midnight Amethyst Gloss is new to Jaguar, created exclusively for the limited edition of their high-performance SUV. It adds to the car’s dramatic, mysterious, and luxurious air as the unique hue appears black until it rolls out into the light, revealing amethyst undertones.

The limited release number of 394 represents every lap Jaguar’s XJR-9 made in ’88 in the 24-hour Le Mans. Jaguar entered the race with five cars, each with a V12 engine. Their winning car was driven by Jan Lammers, Johnny Dumfries, and Andy Wallace, eating up a total of 3,313.15 miles (5,330.86 km).

5. Lamborghini Huracán Evo Spyder

  • Color Name: Viola Pasifae

The Lamborghini Huracán Evo Spyder looks like sex on wheels in Viola Pasifae. The machines are all about the vibe. The purple adds to the supercar’s noise and attitude that celebrates the V10 engine.

The vibrant color isn’t tacky or childish but is far from shy. No sophisticated, understated elegance here. It’s out and proud, just like the rest of the machine.

But the Huracán Evo Spyder has never tried to be practical or blend in with the crowd. Its trunk is the size of a tissue box; you have to fold yourself into its hard bucket seats, and if you want to bring a water bottle or a cup of coffee, hang it from your neck (no cupholders).

This is a car that is made to boldly claim the road. If you get behind the wheel of one of these, it purrs that the speed limit is only a recommendation, not the law, and you will believe it.

Alternative Colors:

  • Arancio Borealis
  • Verde Selvans
  • Rosso Efesto
  • Blu Aegir

6. McLaren 720S

  • Color Name: Lantana Purple

The McLaren 720S in Lantana Purple is a head-turning ride. It is also the supercar that a six-foot person can get in and out of it without visiting their chiropractor.

The butterfly doors allow you to slide right in. Of course, that doesn’t make it a practical car, but it does provide a cupholder and can hold a carry-on or two in the trunk.

All of which makes the McLaren 720S a much more dangerous ride than some of the other supercars. At least the others, you’ll eventually pull over due to backache and dehydration.

But the McLaren 720S is as wicked as the color Lantana Purple, encouraging you to keep going just a little further and a little more. As a result, you may never find your way home or want to.

Alternative Colors:

  • Papaya Spark
  • Belize Blue
  • Volcano Yellow
  • Amaranth Red

7. Ford Mustang GT

  • Color Name: Northern Lights Violet Metallic

Ford Mustang released new colors in 2022, including Mischievous Purple Metallic. It debuted with the following:

  • Cyber Orange Metallic
  • Dark Matter Gray Metallic
  • Eruption Green Metallic
  • Brittany Blue Metallic
  • Grabber Blue Metallic
  • Atlas Blue Metallic

The Mischievous Purple is a no-cost option, although selecting it can cause delays and cannot be used with some trims or packages.

However, it looks amazing on the GT Premium Fastback. Out of the sun, it looks like the deep and rich color of twilight, a dark hue nearly black. But out on the road, it blazes liquid brilliance. It’s a color that screams confidence, not mid-life crises.

Alternative Colors:

  • Rapid Red
  • Carbonized Gray
  • Iconic Silver
  • Shadow Black
